If you don’t care where you are, then you ain’t lost
Does the noise in my head bother you?
Don’t argue with a fool. The spectators can’t tell the difference.
Don’t be humble, you’re not that great.
Don’t be irreplaceable. If you can’t be replaced, you can’t be promoted.
Don’t be sexist. Broads hate that.
Don’t believe everything you think.
Don’t cry because its over, smile because it happened.
Don’t follow me, I’m lost too.
Don’t let yesterday take up to much of today.
Don’t look unless you’re prepared to see.
Don’t steal a police car unless you’re prepared to floor it all the way to Mexico.
Don’t tell any big lies today. Small ones can be just as effective.
Don’t tell me how hard you work. Tell me how much you get done.
Don’t trust reality. After all, it’s only a collective hunch.
DOES THE NOISE IN MY HEAD BOTHER YOU?
By Ndiawar Diop
Every day, our minds are filled with ideas, doubts, dreams, fears, and questions. Sometimes the loudest voice we hear is the one inside our own heads. That inner conversation can confuse us, guide us, challenge us, or even make us laugh. The following thoughts are simple reminders that life is often wiser than we think.
If you don’t care where you are, then you aren’t really lost.
Sometimes we spend too much time worrying about the destination instead of enjoying the journey. Being lost is not always a bad thing. It can be the beginning of discovery.
Does the noise in my head bother you?
Everyone has thoughts they don’t always understand. Instead of judging others for thinking differently, we should remember that every mind carries its own battles and dreams.
Don’t argue with a fool.
People watching may not know who is right. Some arguments are not worth winning because they only waste your time and energy.
Don’t be too humble.
Humility is a virtue, but pretending you have no talent helps no one. Know your value without becoming arrogant.
Don’t make yourself impossible to replace.
Teach others what you know. People who help others grow often grow themselves. Real leaders create more leaders.
Respect everyone.
Never judge or disrespect someone because of their gender, race, religion, or background. Respect is one of the strongest signs of intelligence.
Don’t believe every thought that crosses your mind.
Not every fear is real. Not every doubt tells the truth. Learn to question your own assumptions before accepting them as facts.
Don’t cry only because something ended.
Be thankful that it happened. Every experience, whether joyful or painful, teaches us something valuable.
Don’t follow people blindly.
Even those who seem confident can sometimes be searching for their own direction. Think for yourself.
Don’t let yesterday control today.
Mistakes belong in the past. Learn from them, but don’t allow them to steal today’s opportunities.
Don’t look if you are afraid of the truth.
The truth can be uncomfortable, but avoiding it never changes reality.
Think before you act.
Every decision has consequences. A moment of excitement can create years of regret.
Small lies are still lies.
Honesty builds trust. Once trust is broken, it is difficult to rebuild.
Results speak louder than effort.
Working hard is important, but what truly matters is the positive impact your work creates.
Question your assumptions.
What we call reality is often shaped by our experiences, beliefs, and perspectives. Stay curious and remain open to learning something new.
Life is not about having all the answers. It is about asking better questions, learning from experience, and growing with humility. The noise inside our heads is not always a sign of confusion. Sometimes it is the sound of wisdom trying to find its voice.
Perhaps the real question is not whether the noise in my head bothers you.
Perhaps the question is whether you have taken the time to listen to the voice inside your own.
